There are ships you can capture and ships you can buy (for far less than 1bn) that can face off, one on one that is, against nearly any ship in the game. Likewise your hull numbers are about six times greater. Relevant links: Official Site Steam Google Group Github Official Wiki DiscordĪssuming you're not making a magnitude error, that ship has more than twice the shields of the most shielded ship in the game roughly five or so times the shields of the five or six beneath it. >! I have done the Wanderer story, just not in the current playthrough because I wanted to farm some Kor Mereti before they become allied with the Wanderers.ĮDIT: I called it "small" because it is physically smaller than the 512 and most Sestor ships, of course it is not weak, those 5 in my fleet can outperform all my Shield Beetles.Hello and welcome to /r/endlesssky! The final part of that story, which will be released at an undisclosed time, may also make automata buyable, eliminating the self destruct issue. They'll be expensive but a fleet of a couple of dozen of their heavies won't get steamrolled by a fleet of automata. Within the story, there will be many opportunities to capture automata and opportunities to buy powerful Wanderer ships. The Wanderers can be found to the far north of human space. ![]() It doesn't sound like you've done the Wanderer story. As for the probability of capturing it, I think it's about 6.4% so that 7% based on the sample is quite a good estimation. It's the second most powerful Mereti ship there is. (nvm the world ship lol I just noticed the pinned thread) And is there a way to decrease Kor self-destruct rate? I was very close to rage quitting every time a Model 512 blew up as soon as I touched it. I have boarded circa one hundred of them, but managed to capture only five smaller Mereti ships, Model 256 I think. So I have waited, I kid you not, for 5 hours straight, boarding disabled Kor ships that drifted away from the fight. I also threw in 4 Wanderer ramscoops and a buttload of fuel pods, which allowed it to stay cloaked indefinitely when near a star. So I reverted to a different tactic I got a Raider, sold all of its weapons, and equipped it with my precious cloaking device. ![]() I jumped my entire fleet to one of the systems where Mereti and Sestor meet each other, however my fleet was no match for them. So I have switched my focus to the World Ship, and as soon as I saw that 0.0% I switched again, this time to Kor automata. Soon I realized that the Shield Beetles I have are better than the Raiders, so I sold all of the Raiders which made me over a billion credits. I wanted to get better ships, so I bought 346 cans of Nerve Gas and went to get some juicy fresh Raiders. So I have reached a point where money is no longer a problem, which means that my fleet consists mainly of Shield Beetles for pews and a Bactrian with circa 346 crew for capturing. Everything is a spoiler, I will not bother with spoiler tags
